Washi tape and a journal page

Finally...spring is here!!!
Today is a nice spring day over here in Holland and the weather is really making me happy..and so is washi tape.
I`m so in love with this gorgeous tape, it`s made in Japan and you can write easily over it with a pen and the possibilities are endless with this tape!

One of my favorite scrapbookers Amy used washi tape on her scrapbook LO`s, there is a whole blog on tape and I used it as a background in my journal (see my last post).
Yes, I`m addicted.....sight!

The most of these tapes I ordered online at Tas-ka and look how cute they send it to your home :)

Okay, enough about tape let`s move on to something creative.

The journaling is about creativity, I love to share this with my mom!

Winner and my first art journal

Marit`s online art journal class came to an end, I had so much fun during this online workshop.
The past 6 weeks I learned a lot, and not only new techniques.
Now I know to be true to myself and just write down on my page what is coming to my mind, don`t worry what others might think of it!
I also learned that gesso isn`t my favorite product and that painting is not my cup of tea.
Stamps, my own handwirting and collaging are my favorite!

I decided to keep on journaling..so I`m on my way to the next online class (I`m additcted to online classes ;-)

Lesson 10

The journaling is all about my glasses, as a kid I loved to wear the glasses of my mom. I hoped to wear glasses myself sometimes (stupid me ;) now that I have them I really wish I could live without them!

In the background I used washi tape (my new addiction!)

Give-away!!!!

wow, blogpost 100 already!!! When I started this little place on the world wide web back in 2008 I thought.. okay let`s see where this journey brings me!
And now, one and a half year later I know how much joy it brought me. I got to meet so many new scrap friends here on the internet and in real life. I want to thank you for all the lovely and sweet comments you leave me after each blogpost!
( now I sound like I`m leaving my blog but I`m just looking back ;)

This page I made for Martit`s online art journal class, it was all about texture and gesso!
The journaling;
We can feel and hear the wind- but we know nothing about him- not where he comes from- and not where he goes to-and when he stops and lies down- we don`t know where he rests!

I only have to make 2 more page`s and then the workshop comes to an end for me.
May this year Marit starts this workshop again. If you want some more information about the workshops you can find it over here!

Last friday our good friends got married, and I made them some fortune cookies with little wishes inside... you can find the tutorial over here.

Almost post #100..... time for a give-away in my next blogpost!!

Yesterday I planned a creative day for myself, we had stormy weather so it was a perfect day to stay inside and create!
I made 2,5 pages for Marit`s class, the gesso on the third page is still drying :)

Lesson 7 was all about collage. When I saw the page of Anne g-i I immedialtely tought about something I made in my childhood (because of all the flowers in her work).
So I looked it up to show you, I made collages years ago ;)


Ofcourse my mom gave me a helping hand!!!Here`s my collage page;

Lesson 8 was all about doodling, and that is really not my kind of thing, so I had to go far out of my comfort zone to create this page (but that`s a good thing, I learned from it).


Sometimes I wish I could go back to my childhood, I never doubted about my creations :)

pimp my bra

Dat is precies wat ik dit weekend heb gedaan, mijn bh gepimpt op het vrijgezellenfeestje van Suus!
Suus kreeg een boxershort om te pimpen en een voedingsBH, heerlijk al dat freubelen...dat past precies in mijn straatje! Suus vond het ook te gek, ben benieuwd wat haar aanstaande van zijn nieuwe boxer vindt ;)

That is exactly what I did this weekend, pimped my bra at the bachelor party of Suus!
Suus pimped a boxer and a bra, she had the time of her life! I wonder wat her fiancee thinks of his new underwear!


How cool is this?? I love my new bra!

Last week I made 2 art journal pages for Marit`s class;

This page is made of tissues, spray-ink and gel medium

And on this page I practiced my handwriting (I wanted a shabby look :)

Deze 2 pagina`s heb ik gemaakt voor mijn journal van Marit's online workshop 'Let it Loose'. Ik vind het helemaal geweldig om naar art journal pagina`s te kijken op internet. En natuurlijk om lekker bezig te zijn met mijn eigen journal; het journal virus heeft me te pakken :)
These pages I made for Marit`s online class 'Let it loose. At the moment I love to see art journal pages at the internet and making my own journal.I think I have a new addiction :)

Op deze pagina heb ik de 'masking' techniek toegepast. Ik heb met mijn circut het hart uitgesneden en gebruikt als mask. De achtergrond heb ik bewerkt met spray paint, acrylverf en stempels. Het hart heb ik ingekleurd met waterverf, en de quote heb ik gestempeld op sticky back canvas en daarna bespoten met glimmermist!

Dit is les 4 (met pagina 3 ben ik nog bezig). Hierbij is het de bedoeling om van kleur te veranderen. Als eerste de originele illustratie van Nathalie Lèté en op de 2e foto wat ik ervan gemaakt heb.

En dit is een cadeautje. Gekregen van mijn moeder! Zo gaaf zijn deze stempels, ontzettend bedankt mam!!

Let it loose

Dit is de naam van Marit`s eerste online workshop waar ik me op het moment mee aan het amuseren ben :)
We hebben echt een leuke groep enthousiaste dames en een geweldige lerares die ons van de nodige inspiratie voorziet!
Als ik naar het werk van anderen kijk merk ik dat ik LO`s die een beetje shabby en imperfect uitzien mij het meeste aanspreken, maar als ik dan zelf aan de slag ga dan ga ik weer op de precieze tour......eigenlijk ben ik daar helemaal niet zo blij mee.

This is the name of Marit`s first online workshop where I`m having so much creative fun at the moment.
We have a really nice group of enthusiastic ladies and a great teacher who provides us with loads of inspiration!
When I look at the work of others I like the LO `s that look a little shabby and imperfect. My own work is mostly precise, actually I am not so happy with that!

Dus daarom ben ik zo blij met Marit`s Online cursus Let it loose, ik heb me dan ook voorgenomen gewoon aan de slag te gaan zonder er te veel bij na te denken en gewoon te genieten van het creatieve bezig zijn.
En dit is dan mijn allereerste art journal page, helemaal NIET perfect maar ik ben er toch blij mee!

That`s why am I so happy with Marit `s Online Course Let it loose, so I've planned to start without too much thinking about my page and just enjoy the creative doing.
And this is my first art journal page, NOT perfect but I'm OK with it :)

Gisteren heb ik deze brownies gemaakt, dus al je van brownies houdt kan ik je dit recept zeker aanraden, hmmmm.

Yesterday I made these brownies, so if you love brownies I definitely recommend you this recipe, Yum!
